Position Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join CGI, a world-class IT company, for a permanent position in Victoria, BC, where we provide leading IT services to our local clients that help make a difference in the lives of the people of British Columbia.

As part of the delivery team, the candidate will be charged with working on web, client/server and workflow based development projects to ensure the quality delivery of new or enhanced systems. Initially this position will perform business and system analysis on a cutting edge web portal project. As a Business Systems Analyst, the candidate will have functional design responsibilities for analyzing business requirements to create functional specifications, process flows, use cases and other documentation.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Interact with the business analysts to understand the requirements
• Interact with architects and technical leads to convey the possible interface of the software
-Interact/guide the development team
• Interact with system testing team
• Prepare high quality functional design documentation
• Contribute to the advancement of enterprise capabilities in system analysis and design domains (ALM, tooling etc.)

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

This position is expected to have had deep experience in application development and one or more of the core disciplines (use case elaboration, logical application design, BPM, SOA, Data Analysis), but is expected to be able to work across all of them as required.
