Descrição da função:

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will support the existing production environment and participate in current and future development projects. The individual will analyze moderate to complex system and functionality-related problems in our insurance business systems. The BSA will support existing customers with underwriting expertise in the legacy production environment. The BSA will provide support to the Underwriting Business Unit while maintaining appropriate processes and procedures for quality assurance, control of change, and reduced risk of negative outcomes due to unrecognized impacts from internal and external factors.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our client location in Markham at a minimum 1 day per week - subject to change at any time.

• The BSA will analyze moderate to complex systems and functionality issues as reported by the business unit.
• Recommend and communicate possible workaround solutions before programming changes are applied.
• Proactively act upon any recognized trends in system problems.
• Evaluate and offer feedback on different solutions.
• Create Requirement documentation for introducing system changes.
• Testing moderate to complex system changes, and maintaining and updating tables changes.

Qualificações requeridas para ser bem sucedido nesta função:

• 5 years’ experience in the Insurance Industry (Personal Lines or Commercial Lines).
• High degree of flexibility for multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, strong analytical, and trouble-shooting skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and coordination skills.
• Strong customer focus and customer relationship management skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills
• A customer-focused attitude coupled with problem-solving skills
• Previous underwriting experience
• Programming background

Job Skills Preferred
• Experience with the General system or Broker Portal applications.
• Experience with legacy / mainframe applications
• Prior knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Html and XML
