We are seeking a seasoned hands-on Senior Data Architect for a Director Position with expertise in cloud data services, particularly AWS or Azure, to join our dynamic team. • Data Architecture Design: Develop and maintain comprehensive data architecture blueprints leveraging cloud data services, aligning with business objectives, and ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Cloud Data Services Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in AWS or Azure data services, including data lakes, databases, analytics tools, and machine learning services. Architect scalable and cost-effective solutions on cloud platforms.
• Snowflake Mastery: Provide expert guidance on Snowflake data warehouse platform, optimizing architecture design, performance tuning, and implementing best practices to meet business requirements.
• ETL Development: Design and implement robust ETL processes, leveraging cloud-native tools and services to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the data platforms.
• Big Data Technologies: Stay updated on the latest advancements in Big Data technologies, leveraging platforms like Data Bricks, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and related ecosystem tools to enhance data architecture and analytics capabilities.
• Sales Support and Client Solutions: Collaborate with account teams to understand client requirements, provide technical expertise during pre-sales activities, and develop data solutions tailored to client needs.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, sales, and clients, to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and drive alignment on data architecture solutions.
• Mentor: Work with other data engineers and mentor them to master the skills.
• Delivery: Lead client engagements as the Subject Mater Expert in implementing the solutions. Work with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and clients, to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and drive alignment on data architecture solutions.

Criteria:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Overall 15+ years of IT experience.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a minimum of [10+] years in designing and implementing data architecture solutions.
• Experience providing sales support and delivering data solutions to clients, understanding their business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Strong proficiency in AWS or Azure cloud data services, with hands-on experience in architecting scalable and cost-effective solutions.
• Expertise in design, implementation and operationalization of large-scale data and analytics solutions on Snowflake Cloud platform. Hands-on experience in features like Time Travel, Zero Copy Cloning, Snow Pipe and Metadata Manager.
• In-depth understanding of ETL tools and techniques, as well as Data Analytics technologies utilizing a combination of products/frameworks like Glue, Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, Spark, and Kafka.
• Familiarity with data governance principles, and data security standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms and data technologies are a plus.
• - Experience in optimizing the performance of data architecture components on cloud platforms. Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $180,800 - $228,800.
