We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Database Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our critical database infrastructure in the cloud, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security.

• Conceptualize and implement a robust database architecture, optimizing storage options and utilizing managed services to their full potential.
• Master the art of database operations, including backups, monitoring, and data recovery. Be prepared to tackle challenges with DR strategies, tools, and a deep understanding of different approaches.
• Champion data protection principles, ensuring the security and integrity of our valuable information.
• Become an architect of data virtualization, crafting solutions that enhance data accessibility and utilization.
• Flex your coding muscles by developing Python REST APIs, leveraging your core Python skills.
• Navigate the AWS landscape with confidence, applying your expertise to configure and manage cloud-based database services

Calificaciones requeridas para tener éxito en este rol:

• 10+ years of experience as Database Administrator or similar role with at least 6+ years with cloud environment.
• In-depth knowledge of database concepts, including architecture, storage optimization, managed services, and their pros and cons.
• Solid understanding of database operations, encompassing backups, monitoring tools, and data recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with data protection principles and best practices.
• Experience with data virtualization technologies and their architecture.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with REST API development.
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Bonus Points:
• Experience with other cloud platforms like Azure or GCP.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance regulations.


CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $67,000 -$148,800.
