Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will be providing advice to CGI and our clients as they drive towards net zero. You’ll need to understand our clients’ business and commercial issues, and provide pragmatic, deliverable sustainability strategies that engage customers, stakeholders and employees.

Defining a major infrastructure programme, you’ll contribute to development and governance through technical assurance processes. You’ll take ownership of effort estimates and costs from teams, subcontractors and suppliers, along with responsibility for concerns, architectural decisions and the technical risk register.

Delivering sustainability consulting, you’ll work with new and existing clients across a range of industries. This will include responsibility for the business development lifecycle, while helping solve complex challenges with innovative ideas and strategies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

● A proven track record in delivering sustainability strategies as a client-facing consultant,
internal business partner or trusted advisor
● Ideally a degree and further study/certification from a relevant body such as IEMA, GRI
etc.
● Experience of global standards, such as GRI, CDP, SASB, and/or TFCD
● Subject matter expertise and programme management across some or all areas of
sustainability such as:
○ Science Based Targets initiative, carbon assessment methodology
○ Net zero pathways, solutions and technology
○ Environmental Systems, ISO 14001
○ Supply chain development, monitoring and assurance
○ Waste / energy / water management including recycling, reduction, alternative fuels
and renewable energy
○ CSR strategy, materiality, social value and community engagement.
● All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV)
Security Check (SC) level.
