Naval Air Systems Command’s Central Kitting Agency is responsible for the assembly, warehouse storage, distribution, and reclamation of Technical Directive (TD) change kits for all Naval Air Systems Command aviation systems and subsystems, including foreign military sales assembly.

Primary Responsibility will be the day to day management of Inventory control for over 180,000 line items of Navy Maine Corps Modification parts kits material. This will entail daily assignment of inventory tasking to inventory teams, assigning recounts, research of inventory discrepancies, and the documentation of completed inventories in NAVY ERP.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Coordinate with Operations Manager for assignment of required personnel daily to accomplish scheduled inventories.
- Conduct spot inventory checks related to Modification kit builds to ensure correct picking procedures.
- Schedule and officiate over weekly Inventory briefing with Operations Manager, Project Manager and Analyst to resolve outstanding inventory issues.
- Picking requisitioned kits or parts or materials utilizing printed pick lists and documents, preparing shipping documents and packaging kits/materials for shipment.
- Ensuring proper documentation of incoming deliveries by checking the condition of materials and quantities against DD-250s or bills of lading.
- Processing receipt documents to ensure that the correct notations are in all the required fields, logs entries and stows kits in accordance with established guidelines.
- Conducting blind inventory bin checks and bin re-checks to ensure correct quantities are listed in the database.
- Performing routine warehouse daily cleaning
- Performing routine pre-operation Material Handling Equipment checks
- Performing data entry manipulation for Navy SAP based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database.
- Verifying parts against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing parts to prescribed storage locations per established procedures.
- Storing, stacking, or palletizing parts or materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials.
- Performing receipt process for parts/stowage of material.
- Assembling Modification kits by picking component parts and accurately combining contents with correct quantities and identification with zero errors.
- Removing Parts from bins/kits direct shipment to fleet sites as directed.
- Performing routine warehouse daily cleaning
- Performing routine pre-operation equipment checks

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Have proficient basic computer skills consisting of email, electronic timesheets, NMCI (Navy and Marine Corps Internet) usage and basic database entry. Be familiar with the use of user name and passwords and the important of computer security.
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Ability to perform as a certified forklift operator to move large kits, palletized materials and various other warehouse operations. Applicant must be able to pass a NAVY element medical/ physical required for forklift operation. Which requires 20/30 correctable vision in both eyes (required). Applicant must be insurable to operate company leased truck.
- Able to work in a fast paced, teamwork environment.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Be willing to work in non-climate controlled, dusty environment.

Desired:
- US Navy Aviation logistics or military aviation logistics experience.
- Experience with logistics support in a contracting environment.


Hourly Rate: $22.72/hour

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
