Position Description:

There is an adage which says Data is the new Oil that fuels the engine of progress. At CGI we firmly believe in the same. We are building a new team in Detroit that will cater to the Automotive, Financial Services and Utility Industry. We are looking for a technical lead for leading our data practice. The role will be to work in a start up like environment and shape the future of Automotive Data Analytics in Detroit. The main goal is to be able to convince clients that using data analytics, their business outcomes can be impacted positively. CGI will be the team that will manage Data Analytics for them.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Build thought leadership of Data Analytics in Automotive by attending various seminars and speaking at forums;
- Build Automotive Use cases for weaponizing data by talking to customers and managing POCs
- Build and manage a team of data experts in Detroit that will be supported by Data Delivery teams across the World.
- Work with the Account Managers to generate interest in CGI’s data practice by meeting customers regularly.
- Be the driving factor in proposals and evolve solution offerings.
• Provide leadership to a team of professionals – both direct reports and via global delivery.
• Ensure success of engagements using global delivery and vendor partners.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Ideal candidate should have close to 20 years in the automotive industry with experience in business and IT.
- At least 10 years+ in technology related roles.
- Data Analytics in Auto for the last 5 years
- Must have use cases in Supply Chain, manufacturing and or Marketing and Sales for how data can improve business outcomes.
- Experience in an Automotive OEM or Tier One is a requirement.
- Agile, PowerBI/DundasBI experience is preferred.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $134,500 - $235,400.
