Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Business Analyst to join our DC Metro team at one of our client locations. The Analyst is responsible for identifying and documenting the business needs of their clients and stakeholders and helping to determine feasible solutions to meet existing and emerging business needs or resolve business problems. The Analyst also works to translate that understanding into support for the development, refinement processes and systems, and training on product set-up.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Work closely with a variety of stakeholders to perform requirements gathering, document user stories. Work closely with developers to implement the functionality.
• Conduct testing and demos.
• Exhibit strong communication, documentation and organization skills and experience in gathering requirements and conducting training.
• Understand operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, write specifications.
• Identify problems and write improved procedures.
• Develop / modify processes, policies, and procedures to facilitate the working relationship between CGI and its clients. Provides support to our client’s business involvement in systems development processes, including requirements definition, data conversion, and testing.
• Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements gathering, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks, and workflow analysis.
• Develops and writes detailed functional requirements and objectives derived from or client to ensure alignment between business requirements and supporting systems.
• Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs, and validates requests in JIRA ticketing system.
• Works with assigned IT project manager, and serves as the conduit between the client’s lines of businesses and the IT team through which requirements flow.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 3+ years working in a global business environment
• 3+ years working with cloud-based CRM and ERP systems
• 3+ years working in an Agile product development environment: participation in agile SCRUM teams and agile ceremonies.
• NetSuite or Salesforce experience (preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree in management systems, business, finance, computer science or related field or relevant job experience.
• Strong understanding of systems and their underlying data structures and technologies to be able to provide technology solutions.
• Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support.
• Business process analysis and redesign experience: strong business analysis skills; process mapping; data querying; business process redesign and implementation.
• Communication skills: strong presentation/ communication / facilitation skills (oral and written)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Sciences, Business or relevant discipline. Experience may be considered in lieu of Degree.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000.00-$176,300.00. We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.
