This role will be positioned within the Data Operations area of our Digital Solution Centre that delivers into a diverse of programmes of work for our private and public sector clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Data Engineer to join our innovative UK team, tasked with creating and managing Data infrastructure and tools, typically designing and building data pipelines and platforms.

All successful applicants must hold, or be eligible & willing to obtain, UK Security Clearance (SC) with the view to progressing to higher level clearance if required.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

*Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, SQL, Scala, Spark-SQL etc.
*Hands on working knowledge of GCP, AWS and Azure services and technologies
*Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc and relational SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Postgres or Cassandra
*Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Talend, Matillion, Informatica, Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
*Experience working in Agile development team

Desired traits
*Hands on working knowledge of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and supporting infrastructure, system, and security configurations and policies. – Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, ansible, Kubernetes
* Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems or another quantitative field or equivalent experience.

* Data Warehousing experience
* Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
