This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of CGI in Edmonton to provide leading program management services in the health sector. We are looking for a Program Manager with healthcare expertise. The Program Manager should have a deep understanding of how government runs, a keen awareness of healthcare’s visibility, and possess the ability to provide leadership with health system transformation.
We are seeking a Program Manager who has experience leading large scale transformation initiatives. Preference will be given to candidates who have led transformational change in the healthcare space. This is a highly visible role, and the program manager will need to have change management expertise to be able to socialize and manage resistance to health system changes.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead efforts in health system transformation
• Plan, coordinate, direct and control all program activities including projects and operational activities with complex interdependencies.
• Partner with stakeholders across multiple levels and across multiple organizations in the health sector
• Build transformation measurement and data-driven quality management programs.
• Report program performance and provide actionable insights to the senior management teams.
• Accountable for program risk profiles and analyses, management of outstanding project and operational issues, and requests for changes
• Ensure follow-up, control, and status of the progress of overall program objectives.
• Maintain the relationship with the client and ensure the monitoring of requirements.
• Lead an effective program communication plan between the internal and external collaborators.
• Accountable for the overall program quality

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Strong program management background and proven leadership skills are required for this high visibility opportunity. In addition to outstanding communication & negotiating skills, a systematic approach and a results-driven mentality will be key for success in the Program Manager role.
Additional skills & experience:
• Bachelor's degree in administration or any combination deemed equivalent.
• Project Management Certification
• MBA (desirable)
• Must be willing to travel on an as needed basis for stakeholder engagement.
• 10-15 years confirmed experience in a program/project management role.
• 5 or more years of experience in healthcare
• Demonstrated success in the implementation of large-scale, multi-year, large resourced, sophisticated projects.
• High level of proficiency with Program Management and Organizational Change Management
• Health transformation experience
• Organizational intelligence
• Strong leadership capability, able to lead diverse business and project teams and influence all stakeholders to achieve objectives.
• Capacity to work at all levels of the organization.
• Passionate about the quality of delivery and respecting timelines.
