Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a Scrum Master to support a federal agency. The Scrum Master will work as a key change agent and serve as the leader for multiple Agile delivery teams to advance the understanding, adoption and maturation of agile principles and practices across the development team as well as across the organization. The coach will provide structured framework and role-based training on Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, as well as ad-hoc topic-based workshops to provide a comprehensive foundation of knowledge for teams in varying stages within their agile journey. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting the US Federal government.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

•Work with client product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
•Manage each project’s scope and timeline.
•Coordinate sprints, retrospectives and daily standups.
•Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles as they occur.
•Coach CGI and client team members in Agile development.
•Support IMS development and provide frequent progress updates to the Program Manager
•Assist with developing the Software Deployment process/plan

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

•Bachelors degree and 5+ years of prior relevant experience
•Demonstrated knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (definition of done, user stories, automated testing, metrics).
•Familiarity with mainframe system interfaces, scheduling and batch processing.
•Experience applying scrum and growing Agile teams as a fulltime Scrum Master
•Experience affecting change in organizations working towards agile adoption
•Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile project management certification
•Experience using agile project management tools, preferably JIRA and Confluence
•Experience working with tools like: GitHub Actions, CSP DevOps, CSP Test & Build
•Experience on the following Platforms: Java, C#
•Experience with Agile; ability to manage agile teams of 3-5 people
•Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
•Manages time extremely well, can quickly sense when an issue needs to be discussed or triaged
•Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical
•Ability to work well with a team

Desired Skills:
• Experience with Cloud implementations

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $77,200 - $152,100.
